The Pee Gees, a non-profit foundation based in London, Kentucky, began in 2005 when a group of women joined together to support their friend, Dr. Paula Gill, in her successful battle against breast cancer, hence the name "Pee Gees". This group of close friends and family members organized meals, childcare, taxi service, nursing care, and offered vital psychological support to Paula during her chemotherapy and radiation. It soon became apparent to all of us that our group had a mission far beyond providing love and support to our friend. We began participating in the Komen Foundation's "Race for the Cure" in neighboring cities and provided literature to the public through local events in London in order to increase awareness of breast cancer and the importance of mammography.
This website is dedicated to the memory of all women and men who have lost the battle against breast cancer, to the honor of those who have survived, to the encouragement of those currently struggling in the fight, and to all of the friends and family members who selflessly give of their time and love to support these courageous men and women throughout it all.
" I have no way of expressing what the Pee Gees have done for me. You are my backbone. By the grace of God you were there for me and because of His grace and your dedication and love, I have survived. I love you all dearly."
- Paula Gill
